- Plant and journal data: Information you enter about your plants, journal entries, care tasks, and photos you upload.
- Photos: Images you choose to upload are stored securely via Cloudinary.
- Usage data: Basic information about how you use the app, such as features accessed and actions taken.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process plant identification and AI diagnosis requests
- Send care reminders and notifications you request
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Enforce our Terms of Service
Plant Identification and AI Diagnosis
When you use the plant identification feature, photos are sent to the Plant.net API for identification. When you use the AI diagnosis feature, photos are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. These third parties process your images solely to provide the requested service and are subject to their own privacy policies.
Photo Storage
Photos you upload are stored securely using Cloudinary. Photos associated with public plant profiles are accessible to anyone with the link. All other photos are private and only accessible to you.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (Cloudinary, Supabase, Anthropic, Plant.net)
- When required by law or to protect our rights
- With your consent
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@tendrilgarden.com, which will result in the deletion of your personal data.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
